Install MySQL dependencies
Download MySQL source code
Build mysql
Initial Setup – Create group and user
Create MySQL data directory
Modify /etc/my.cnf
Create database
Change owner
Copy initd script
Retart mysql-server
Confirm

Setup SSL :: Create SSL keys
Organize key files
  • Move generated pem files to /usr/local/mysql/ directory
  • Change permission sudo chmod 400 *.pem
  • Change owner sudo chown mysql:mysql *.pem
Modify my.cnf
Restart mysql-server
Setup Binlog
Create binlog directory
Modify my.cnf
Restart mysql-server
